Studying in Italy

REASONS TO STUDY ABROAD…
IN ITALY

Being myself an exchange student from Italy, I can speak with the perspective of someone who’s living the experience in first person.
Here are some reasons for Americans to come to study in Italy, the country that Dante referred to as the “Bel Paese” – literally translated, “the Beautiful Country”.

       1. Italian is a melodic language, and the sound of it is almost like a song. Moreover, taking Italian classes in high school is surely important, but learning a language with a full-immersion experience is something much more challenging and extremely interesting, that keeps your brain working and brings the language from class to life.

       2. Some of the oldest universities in the world are found in Italy, and the Country has earned its sense of pride providing high quality education. You’ll have the possibility to choose from a variety of courses, taught in ancient, full of history buildings.

       3. Italy has delicious food throughout the Country, that you can experience in one of the many “Trattoria” or “Osteria” that you will find at a breathtaking, panoramic corner.

       4. The Mediterranean climate will make you appreciate even more your stay in Italy, with an average warm temperature throughout the whole year.

       5. Italian natural beauty has inspired and lured artists and poets from all over the world, and the geography is varied as much as fascinating. You can go skiing to the Alps in the north, enjoy the countryside in the hills in Tuscany, explore the islands and sunbathe at the beaches in the Mediterranean Sea.

       6. Italy is a limitless source for history lovers. Its inheritance is so deep that you will just have to walk and look around, to bump into something of historical interest. With access to countless original works and building that have survived hundreds of years of Italian history, you will never run out of inspiration and curiosity. Every region, every city, every town has its own past, and you will just have to go there to find out its secrets.

       7. Last but not least, Italians are known for their hospitality and generosity. You will be welcomed and embraced with open arms, and the Italian outgoing nature will help you make friends and feel comfortable while living so far from home.

All I can do now is warmly suggest you all should come to my beautiful home country, and enjoy one of the most incredible experiences of your life: you’ll find yourself to be strong, enriched, curious, and citizen of the world!
