Frutto stranissimo che ho visto al supermercato e che mi ha incuriosita!
Very weird fruit that I saw at the supermarket and that made me curious!
Subway per pranzo: mezzo panino con polpette in salsa di pomodoro. Ammetto che ero sospettosa, ma si è rivelato un'ottima alternativa all'amato chili!
Subway for luch: 1/2 sandwich with meatball marinara. I admit that I was suspicious, but it turned out to be a good alternative to my beloved chili!

Spirit day: ci dobbiamo vestire a tema, e oggi è "Country Club". Leggendo la parola country, Barbara ed io interpretiamo cowboy e cowgirls, quindi eccomi indossare una camicia (che mi presta Ann) e gli stivali. Peccato che "Country Club" significhi una specie di circolo di fighetti, con polo, golf arrotolato sulle spalle e belle scarpe. Ops.
Spirit day: we have to dress up following the theme "Country Club". After reading this, Barbara and I understand cowboy and cowgirls (thank you Matt and Mike for laughing with us, you are so fun!), so here I am, wearing a shirt (that I borrow from Ann) and boots. The sad thing is that "Country Club" actually means wearing a polo, golf rolled on the shoulders and nice shoes.

Compro due scatole di cookies da portare a scuola domani: nella seconda ora (inglese), dopo aver fatto un test di vocabolario, mangeremo e leggeremo il libro "I martedì col professore" (che consiglio a tutti, in quanto toccante, scorrevole e, a mio avviso, scritto benissimo. Mia nonna è morta per questa orribile malattia e il giorno in cui abbiamo iniziato a leggere questo libro in classe, sono scoppiata a piangere, perchè le parole sono così potenti che suscitano tanti ricordi...)
I buy two boxes of cookies that I'll bring to school tomorrow: in the second period (English), after taking a vocab test, we'll eat and read the book "tuesdays with Morrie (it's a book that I suggest to anyone, as it's touching, flawing and, in my opinion, wonderfully written. My grandma died from this horrible disease and the day we started reading the book in class, I burst down in tears, because words are so powerful that sometimes they trigger memories...)
