all over Chiara: cioccolato

GIORNO 69

Il rientro a scuola dopo una vacanza così, è davvero duro, ma sopravviviamo.Torniamo a casa con lo scuolabus, e Barbara riceve il suo pacco dal Belgio: è pieno di cibo, soprattutto cioccolato (specialità belga), e i suoi genitori sono così dolci che mettono un pacchetto di pasta apposta per me!Poi, per cena, Ann prepara uno stufato di pollo e Will mangia con noi. Dopo molte risate, vado a fare una passeggiata con Barbara e poi a dormire.

DAY 69

Going back to school after a holiday like this, it's really really hard, but we survived.We come back home with the school bus, and Barbara receives her package from Belgium: it is full of food, especially chocolate (Belgian specialty), and her parents are so sweet that they put a packet of pasta just for me!Then, for dinner, Ann prepares a chicken stew and Will eats with us. After laughing all together, I go for a walk with Barbara and then we sleep.

If only we still were in California...

Ann e Gary si ricordano che, in California, ci è piaciuto molto l'hummus (crema a base di ceci), e ne hanno comprato uno, preparando questo piattino di snack!

GIORNO 50

E' sempre strano scrivere il blog giorno per giorno e numerare i giorni dalla data della partenza, ma oggi in particolare è arrivato il numero cinquanta, che mi fa uno strano effetto, perchè mi sembra tanto grande (il tempo vola...)...
A scuola tutto procede normalmente, tranne un allarme durante la pausa pranzo dovuto alla presenza nell'edificio di uno studente armato (ma non c'è da preoccuparsi, tutto è stato risolto in una decina di minuti).
Finite le lezioni, Barbara, Ann ed io facciamo la spesa per questa sera: avremo ospite Will e cucineremo pasta alla carbonara e crostini con cipolle (io) e mousse al cioccolato (Barbara)!!
Mangio la mia pasta così velocemente che Will mi guarda sorpreso e mi dice: "Ok, quando ti diamo la carne ne prendi un pezzetto piccolissimo, ma quando ha di fronte a te i noodles batti tutti!"
P.s. Caro Will, questi NON sono noodles, ma i miei amati spaghetti!

DAY 50

It's always weird to write the blog daily, and count the days from my departure, but today in particular it's number fifty, which is already a big number (time flies...)...
At school, everything proceeds normally, except for an alarm during the lunch break, due to the presence in the building of an armed student (but don't worry, everything was settled in about ten minutes).
After school, Barbara Ann and I go to the shop to buy ingredients for dinner: Will will be our guest and we'll cook pasta carbonara and bread with onions (me) and chocolate mousse (Barbara)!!
I eat my pasta so fast that Will looks at me very surprised and he says: "Well, when we give you meat you have this much (a tiny little piece), but with noodles you win over everyone here!"
P.s. Dear Will, they're NOT noodles, but lovely spaghetti!
What a nice evening we spend all together!
