Ufficio postale, pranzo e giretto al parco con Dustin!

Poi aiuto coi lavori di casa e nell'orto, preparo una torta al cioccolato e guardiamo il film di Walt Disney "Prom": lo facciamo partire prima in francese, poi spagnolo, e finalmente inglese - unica lingua che riconosciamo e capiamo (ovviamente fatta eccezione per Barbara e il francese)!!.

Oggi ammetto di essere un po' malinconica: sono solo contenta di andare a dormire e riposarmi, prendendomi un po' di tempo per me, sperando che domani sia un po' più allegra... Ciao a tutti!

Post office, lunch and walk around the park with Dustin!

Then I help with the housework and garden, prepare a chocolate cake and watch the Walt Disney "Prom": we start it in French, Spanish and finally English  the only language we recognize and understand (obviously excepting Barbara and French)!!.

Today I admit to be a bit sad:I'm just happy to go to sleep and rest, taking some time for myself, hoping that tomorrow will be a bit more cheerful ... Hello everyone!

Quando Gary torna a casa, ci porta la posta e c'è una busta per me: il risultato dell'ACT (esame per il college Americano). Sono contentissima del mio punteggio, avendolo migliorato di 4 punti dalla simulazione di settembre. La porta per il college negli Stati Uniti può così rimanere aperta, poi si vedrà...

When Gary comes home, he takes us the mail and there's an envelope for me: the ACT result. I am super happy for my score, having improved it by 4 points since the simulation in September. The door for the college in the US can therefore stay open, then we'll see...

Andiamo a scuola per ritirare alcuni documenti, e poi Dustin porta Barbara e me fuori per colazione, a Fort Collins. Che bella idea!! Chiacchieriamo tanto, e celebriamo la fine della sua carriera alle superiori -- inizierà il college ad Agosto!
Grazie per tutto Dustin, sei un ragazzo speciale e questo anno non sarebbe stato lo stesso senza di te! Per il tuo futuro, ti auguro tutta la fortuna del mondo, e ti aspetto in Italia per una vacanza oltreoceano!!

We go to school to pick up some documents, and then Dustin takes Barbara and me out for breakfast, in Fort Collins. What a nice idea!! We talk so much, and we celebrate the end of his career in high school -- he will start with college in August!
Thank you for everything Dustin, you're a special guy and this year would not have been the same without you! For your future, I wish you all the luck in the world, and wait for you to come to Italy for a vacation overseas!!

Pretty cool Latte!

Nel pomeriggio, Ann va a Kickboxing, e Barbara ed io la seguiamo. Durante la sua lezione, vado a fare una passeggiata e mi semiperdo nel parco, ma poi ritrovo la retta via e raggiungo Barbara da Starbucks. Facciamo un salto da Walgreens per creme e gadgets, e poi torniamo a casa con Ann, stanca ma sempre incredibilmente allegra!

In the afternoon, Ann goes to Kickboxing, and Barbara and I follow her along. During her lesson, I go for a walk and I kinda get lost in the park, but then I find the right path and reach Barbara at Starbucks. We then go to Walgreens for creams and gadgets, and then we go home with Ann, who's tired but always incredibly cheerful!

Penso abbiate visto questo soggetto in tante, tante delle mie foto, ma questo pomeriggio non avevo molto da fare, e cucinare per Ann suonava proprio bene...
I think you've seen this subject in many, many of my pictures, but this afternoon I didn't have a lot to do, and cooking for Ann sounded very good...

Oggi indosso la maglietta che mi ha regalato il dolce Dustin per il compleanno. Mi paice tantissimo!!!
Today I wear the T-shirt that sweet Dustin gave me for my birthday. I like it a lot!!!

Per Sollevamento Pesi, facciamo un test che avevamo fatto all'inizio del semestre: l'obiettivo è di migliorare il numero di flessioni fatte in un minuto. Mi vergogno di rivelare i miei numeri (sono molto molto bassi), ma posso dirvi di averli quantomeno migliorati, quindi penso vada bene così!

For Weightlifting, we take a test that we had done at the beginning of the semester: the goal is to improve the number of push-ups done in a minute. I'm embarrassed to disclose my numbers (they are very very low), but I can tell you that I at least have improved them, so I guess it's okay!

Dopo scuola, vado a fare una lunga camminata con Ann, attorno ad un lago, e siamo entrambe sorprese di vedere della Alci!! Nella foto, sono le sagome che si scorgono in alto sulla sinistra. Wow.
After school, I go for a long walk with Ann, around a lake, and we are both surprised to see the elks!! In the picture, they are the shapes that can be seen in the top left corner. Wow.

Per tutti gli amici italiani che, come me, non avessero ben presente cosa un'alce sia...
For all the Italian friends who, like me, didn't really know what an elk was...

Chiara, seriously?!

Dopo cena, vado a vedere lo spettacolo Big Fish a scuola. Questo è quello che il prof di Storia scrive alla lavagna: è un mito!
After dinner, I go see the play Big Fish at school. This is what the Modern America teacher writes down on the board: he's a legend!

Non me l'aspettavo: questo musical mi è piaciuto da morire. Ho anche pianto alla fine dello spettacolo. Complimenti a tutti per il grande talento, vi ammiro!
PS Barbara sei nata  per ballare!!
I didn't expect it: I like this musical so much! I also cried at the end of the play. Congrats to everyone for the great talent, I admire you!
