Quando Gary torna a casa, ci porta la posta e c'è una busta per me: il risultato dell'ACT (esame per il college Americano). Sono contentissima del mio punteggio, avendolo migliorato di 4 punti dalla simulazione di settembre. La porta per il college negli Stati Uniti può così rimanere aperta, poi si vedrà...

When Gary comes home, he takes us the mail and there's an envelope for me: the ACT result. I am super happy for my score, having improved it by 4 points since the simulation in September. The door for the college in the US can therefore stay open, then we'll see...

Andiamo a scuola per ritirare alcuni documenti, e poi Dustin porta Barbara e me fuori per colazione, a Fort Collins. Che bella idea!! Chiacchieriamo tanto, e celebriamo la fine della sua carriera alle superiori -- inizierà il college ad Agosto!
Grazie per tutto Dustin, sei un ragazzo speciale e questo anno non sarebbe stato lo stesso senza di te! Per il tuo futuro, ti auguro tutta la fortuna del mondo, e ti aspetto in Italia per una vacanza oltreoceano!!

We go to school to pick up some documents, and then Dustin takes Barbara and me out for breakfast, in Fort Collins. What a nice idea!! We talk so much, and we celebrate the end of his career in high school -- he will start with college in August!
Thank you for everything Dustin, you're a special guy and this year would not have been the same without you! For your future, I wish you all the luck in the world, and wait for you to come to Italy for a vacation overseas!!

Pretty cool Latte!

Nel pomeriggio, Ann va a Kickboxing, e Barbara ed io la seguiamo. Durante la sua lezione, vado a fare una passeggiata e mi semiperdo nel parco, ma poi ritrovo la retta via e raggiungo Barbara da Starbucks. Facciamo un salto da Walgreens per creme e gadgets, e poi torniamo a casa con Ann, stanca ma sempre incredibilmente allegra!

In the afternoon, Ann goes to Kickboxing, and Barbara and I follow her along. During her lesson, I go for a walk and I kinda get lost in the park, but then I find the right path and reach Barbara at Starbucks. We then go to Walgreens for creams and gadgets, and then we go home with Ann, who's tired but always incredibly cheerful!

Penso abbiate visto questo soggetto in tante, tante delle mie foto, ma questo pomeriggio non avevo molto da fare, e cucinare per Ann suonava proprio bene...
I think you've seen this subject in many, many of my pictures, but this afternoon I didn't have a lot to do, and cooking for Ann sounded very good...

Allarme incendio a scuola (pare che una prof abbia bruciato un sandwich mentre lo stava riscaldando nel microonde!), poi bus, camminata con Barbara, "gita" a Longmont per comprare le zucche che intaglieremo domani sera (è una specie di fattoria allestita apposta per halloween), cena, Quantico e lettuccio!

DAY 78

Fire alarm at school (it seems that a teacher has burned a sandwich while she was heating it in the microwave!), then bus, a walk with Barbara, "trip" to Longmont to buy pumpkins that we'll carve tomorrow night, dinner, Quantico and sweet bed!

Day3

GIORNO 3 - DAY 3

Passeggiata nel vicinato: le famiglie allestiscono bancarelle e vendono le cose che non usano più!

A walk in the neighborhood: families set up stalls and sell all the things they don't need anymore!

Andiamo a fare una camminata di 5.7 km attorno a un lago a Longmont: la natura è bellissima!
We go to take a 5.7 km walk around a lake in Longmont: the nature is amazing!

Andiamo a comprare un paio di scarpe in un negozio specializzato, dove puoi provare le scarpe su un tapis-roulant che filma la tua performance e individua i punti critici del tuo appoggio. Scopro che io tendo a ruotare il piede destro all'interno, quindi il commesso mi suggerisce queste scarpe azzurre, che mi supporteranno, dato che dovrò correre 6 giorni a settimana per i prossimi 3 mesi!
We buy my trainers in a specialized shop, where you can try on your shoes on a treadmill which record your perfomance and finds out your critical ponts. I find out that I tend to turn in my right feet, so the salesperson suggests me this light-blue shoes which will support me, as I'll be running 6 days per week for the nexy 3 months!

Questa sera compriamo la pizza da Domino's (una catena che vende circa 100 pizze all'ora) e la mangiamo sul divano mentre guardiamo il film "Mean Girls".
Tonight we buy pizza at Domino's (a chain which sells about 100 pizzas per hour) and we eat it on the coach while we're watching the film "Mean Girls".

Vado a dormire e trovo la soluzione per la luce che entra dalla finestra la mattina presto: appendo una coperta e il gioco è fatto! Buona notte.
I go to sleep and I find the solution for the light that comes in through the window in the early morning: I hang a blanket on the window and.. Good night!
