Quanto è bello camminare annusando il profumo della primavera!!
How nice can it be, to walk and smell the spring's perfume?!

Dissezione del cuore: è l'organo che ho aspettato dall'inizio dell'anno, e non posso descrivere a parole l'emozione di tenere fra le mani il bisturi...
Heart dissection: it's the heart I've been waiting for since the beginning of the year, and I cannot describe with words the emotion of holding that scapel in my hands...

Perchè la scuola Americana è anche costruire piramidi umane durante la lezione...

La giornata inizia con una Chiara spaventata quando legge un messaggio di suo fratello, che alcune volte sa essere proprio ciula: grazie Teo, ci voleva!

Nell'ora buca, vado a correre per cinquanta minuti e mi sento proprio bene quando finisco. Poi abbiamo una partita di tennis, che però viene cancellata perchè inizia a piovere.

Poi mi chiama Valentina e parliamo per una buona ora, passandola praticamente a dirci le novità e ridendo!!

Mi ridipingo le unghie perchè si sono rovinate alle estremità, e mi rilasso sul divano dopo cena guardando The Voice, ed è il momento più bello della giornata!!

The day starts with a scared Chiara, when she reads a text from her brother, who sometimes knows to be right very silly: thank you Teo, I really needed it!

During the off hour, I go running for fifty minutes and I feel so well when I'm done. Then we have a tennis game, but it gets canceled because it starts to rain.

Then Valentina calls me and we talk for a good hour, practically spending it telling us the news and laughing!!

I repaint my nails because they are chipped at the ends, and I relax on the couch after dinner watching The Voice, and this is the best moment of the day!!

A parte il risveglio tragico delle 6.30 stamattina, per tornare a scuola dopo 9 giorni di goduta pausa, l'attrazione della giornata sono le 6 ore che passo in trasferta con la squadra di tennis, con cui mi diverto tanto a giocare!!
Besides the tragic awakening at 6.30 am this morning, to go back to school after 9 days of pleasant break, the attraction of the day is the 6 hours that I spend away with my tennis team, with whom I have a lot of fun playing!!

Good job Eagles!!

Tornando a scuola in autobus, dove Ann mi sta aspettando. Poi vado a fare una lunga corsa e mi rilasso sul divano con le donne, mentre Gary è ad allenare!
Coming back to school by bus, where Ann is waiting for me. I then go for a long run and chill on the couch with the girls, while Gary is coaching!

Pronta per andare a far shopping con Barbara. Ci porta Ann, mentre Gary è al penultimo torneo di pallavolo con Will. Mentre siamo in macchina, sia Barbara che io pensiamo che sia strano andare per negozi alla domenica, perchè di solito è giorno di chiusura nei nostri paesi: quindi... godiamocela!
Ready to go shopping with Barbara. Ann takes us, while Gary is at the last but one volleyball tournament with Will. While we're in the car, both Barbara that I think that it's weird to go shopping on Sunday, because it is usually the closing day in our countries: so... let's enjoy this!

Stamattina, mentre smonto la lavastoviglie e lavo i piatti, faccio Skype con mia mamma (sempre bello parlare con te gigia), con la Franci, che mi farà da personal trainer per il nuoto quando torno a casa (ho perso molta resistenza perchè non sono più andata ultimamente), il Teo e il papà, che lavora in giardino. Mi fanno invidia quando mi dicono che questa sera vanno fuori a mangiare la pizza, così decido di comprarmi anche io una fetta per pranzo (Marco's Pizza, non si scherza!): buona buona!

This morning, while I unload the dishwasher and do the dishes, I Skype with my mom (always nice to talk to you gigia), with Franci, that will be my personal trainer for swimming when I get back home (I lost a lot of resistance because I haven't gone to the pool lately), Teo and dad, who is working in the garden. I do envy them when they tell me that this evening they'll go out to eat pizza, so I decide to buy myself a slice for lunch (Marco's Pizza, no kidding!): very good!

In mattinata dormo tanto, faccio la lavatrice, vado a camminare per un'ora e mezza, faccio un veloce FaceTime con i miei nonni (che mi dicono che hanno voglia di rivedermi: grazie per le parole dolci!) e vedo il mio fratellone e il papi - gli uomini di casa, non mi deludono mai!! Poi, dopo pranzo, mi addormento sul divano per un'altra ora e mezza, e quando mi sveglio, Gary mi chiama "Sleepyhead" e mi viene da ridere!

In the morning, I sleep in a lot, do the laundry, go for an hour and a half walk , do a quick FaceTime with my grandparents (who tell me that they can't wait to see me again: thanks for the kind words!), and I see my brother and the daddy - the men of the house, they never disappoint me!! Then, after lunch, I fall asleep on the couch for another hour and a half, and when I wake up, Gary calls me "Sleepyhead" and I laugh!

Ann suggerisce di aggiungere all'acqua qualche fragola surgelata, per tenerla fresca e aromatizzarla (e cercare di imitare lo Strawberry Acaj di Starbucks): l'esperimento riesce a metà, ma è sempre divertente provare!
Ann suggested to add a few frozen strawberries in my iced water, to keep it fresh and flavor it (and try to imitate the Strawberry Acaj from Starbucks): the experiment succeeds in half, but it's always fun to try!

Il miglior modo per concludere la giornata è guardare questo film in famiglia: "Una notte ad leoni", ambientato a Las Vegas. Che figata!!
The best way to end the day is watching this movie with the family: "The Hangover", set in Las Vegas. So cool!!!

Oggi mancano esattamente 2 settimane prima del mio compleanno, e ho una richiesta per tutti voi lettori. Vi ho sempre sentiti molto vicini, ma per il giorno in cui divento adulta, vorrei chiedervi qualcosa di speciale: se pensate di volermi fare gli auguri quel giorno, sareste disposti a registrare un video di voi, così che io possa vedere la vostra faccia e sentire la vostra voce, e mandarmelo via mail (chiara498@live.it) o messaggio Facebook, Whatsapp...? Se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino, oggi è proprio un bel giorno: mi sveglio, faccio colazione, e vado a correre verso Starbucks, dove mi fermo per 3 ore godendomi la vita. Poi torno indietro sulla stessa strada, questa volta però camminando!
You can tell how something will go by how it begins, and today is really a good day: I wake up, have breakfast, and go running towards Starbucks, where I stop for 3 hours enjoying life. Then I come back on the same way, this time walking instead!

E invece della solita mocha, oggi mi prendo un pranzetto sfizioso - insalata, pollo e quinoa - e mangio all'aperto, su questo tavolo in legno che mi piace tantissimo!
And instead of the usual mocha, today I buy myself a fanciful lunch - salad, chicken and quinoa - and eat outdoors, on this wooden table that I love!

Ricevo il pacchetto dalla mia famiglia, per il giorno in cui diventerò adulta: -15!
I receive the package from my family, for the day when I'll become an adult: -15!

Partita di tennis nel pomeriggio: quando arrivo al campo, dopo essermi riscaldata, il coach viene e mi chiede se mi va bene giocare da sola (invece che in coppia). Accetto, ma inizio subito ad avere paura, perchè non ho mai giocato da sola e tutte le altre ragazze della squadra giocano in coppia. Vado da Ann in cerca di supporto, ed è proprio quello che trovo, così entro in campo e gioco. E' stato molto intenso emotivamente, ma mi sono divertita, e... ho vinto, inaspettatamente! Che bello stare all'aperto e giocare a tennis, quando c'è il sole e 20 gradi!!
Tennis game in the afternoon: when I arrive at the camp, after I warm up, the coach comes and asks me if I want to play singles (rather than couples). I accept, but I start to get scared right away, because I've never played alone, and all the other girls of the team play couples. I go to Ann in search of support, and that's what I find, so I go into the field and play. It was very emotionally intense, but I enjoyed it, and ... I won, unexpectedly! How nice it is to be outdoors and play tennis, when it's sunny and it's 70 degrees!!

Per cena, Gary prepara una buonissima carne, e Will ci insegna a giocare ad una nuova versione di poker. Poi, Ann ed io guardiamo un episodio di Heart Beat, e i prepariamo per andare a nanna!

For dinner, Gary prepares a delicious meat, and Will teaches us to play a new version of poker. The, Ann and I watch an episode of Heart Beat, and we start to get to bed!

Creerò sul mio profilo Facebook una cartella con tutte, ma proprio tutte, le foto di questo splendido viaggio, ma qui ho dovuto fare una selezione di quelle più... rappresentative. Buona visione!

I'll create on my Facebook profile a folder with all the pics from this amazing trip, but here I had to make a selection of the most... representative. Enjoy the view!

PARTE 1: Foto davanti ai cartelli degli Stati che attraversiamo. Alcune volte Ann e Gary ci devono svegliare, perchè siamo addormentate sui sedili posteriori della macchina, ma dopo tutto ne vale la pena, perchè terremo questi ricordi per sempre!

PART 1: Pics in front of the signs of the States we cross. Sometimes, Ann and Gary have to wake us up, cause we're asleep in the back seats, but it's worth it after all, because we'll keep these memories for ever!

Il paesaggio, durante tutte le ore di macchina, era mozzafiato, e penso di aver scattato almeno un centinaio di foto del Canyon: queste sono le due che mi piacciono di più!

The landscape, during all the roadtrip, was breathtaking, and I think I took at least a hundred pics of the Canyon: these are the two I like the most!

Qualche foto, più o meno seria, con Barbara: penso che durante questo viaggio ci siamo conosciute ancora di più, e ogni momento condiviso è stato divertente e avventuroso!

A Saint George, in Utah, ci fermiamo per pranzo con Valentina, e passiamo una bellissima ora insieme fra italiane.

E poi c'è la foto di famiglia della vacanza: GRAZIE DI TUTTO!!!!

Abbiamo camminato tantissimo durante le giornate, e alla sera, la sensazione più bella era di sdraiarsi sul letto e addormentarsi sotto le coperte. Las Vegas è letteralmente una delle città più belle che io abbia mai visto, perchè piena di attrazioni e riproduzioni di città sparse per il mondo. Ogni casino, ogni hotel, ha il proprio tema di ispirazione, e il mio preferito è stato sicuramente "The Venetian", dove le gondole e i palazzi mi hanno trasportata in un'atmosfera magica.

Ho scelto una foto per ciascuno dei casino che abbiamo visitato:

We walk so much during the days, that in the evenings, the best sensation was to lay on the bed and fall asleep under the blankets. Las Vegas is literally one of the best cities I've ever seen in my life, because it's full of attractions and reproductions of cities from all over the world. Every casino, every hotel, has its own inspirational theme, and my favorite was surely "The Venetian", where the gondolas and the palaces took me in a magic atmosphere.

I chose a pic for each one of the casino we visited:

PART 2: night in Glenwood Springs on the way home and evening in the hot springs with natural sulfurous water, unexpected surprise!
