Felice primo giorno di primavera a tutti: io l'ho passato così!

Happy first day of spring y'all: I spent it like this!

Da dove cominciamo? Da un profondo respiro. Mamma, ora ti capisco pienamente...
Where should I start? Big breath. Mom, I feel you pain...

Ore 8.00: chef Chiara impasta la pizza e questo è il risultato dopo 3 ore di lievitazione!

Vado a correre per una mezz'oretta ed essendo la giornata così piacevole all'aperto, propongo una sfida ad Ann: camminare da casa a Starbucks (5 km), fermarci per un caffè e tornare indietro per un totale di 10 km. Lei accetta (partner perfetta), e ci passiamo due bellissime ore e mezza! Di nuovo, GRAZIE ANN per essere stupenda!
P.s. Questo è il cartellone di una gara di 5 km alla quale vogliamo iscriverci insieme!!

I go running for half an hour and, being so nice outside, I propose a challenge to Ann: walking from home to Starbucks (3.1 miles), stopping for a coffee and coming back for a total of 10 km. She agrees (perfect partner), and we spend two beautiful hours and a half! Again, THANK YOU ANN for being amazing!
P.s. This is the program of a 5k race that we'd like to take part in together!!

Alle 2 del pomeriggio, usciamo: vado a casa di Kathy, per conoscere la sua spledida famiglia e preparare la pizza. Busso alla porta e fra le mani ho... la pasta della pizza lievitata! La stendo sulla teglia, e poi usciamo con Kathy e sua figlia Rebecca per andare al supermercato e comprare pomodoro e mozzarella.
Nella mia testa continuo a sperare che tutto vada per il meglio e che la pasta non mi combini scherzi!

At 2 pm, we go out: I go to Kathy's house, to meet her family and prepare pizza. I knock on the door and in my hands I have... the risen pizza dough! I lie it down on the baking sheet, and then we go out with Kathy and her daughter Rebecca to go to the supermarket and buy tomato and mozzarella.
 In my head constantly to hope that everything goes well and that the dough plays it right!

Allenamento di Track in piscina: correre in acqua. E' stata dura, ma ce l'abbiamo fatta!

La giornata inizia con l'ora di cucina, durante la quale abbiamo una ospite che ci mostra come preparare un dolce a base di meringa. Chiede di due aiutanti in cucina, e mi offro subito volontaria: mi diverto a smanettare, aiutare, imparare. Che bella ora!
The day starts with the cooking class, during which we have a guest speaker who shows us how to prepare a dessert composed of meringue. She asks for two helpers, and I immediately offer myself as a volunteer: I have fun while helping and learning. What a beautiful hour!

Cena speciale con Dennis e Joyce, coppia che vive a Loveland che mio fratello aveva conosciuto due anni fa e che porterà Barbara e me a sciare per tre giorni il weekend prossimo a Breckenridge!
Special dinner with Dennis and Joyce, couple who lives in Loveland, that my brother met two years ago and that will take Barbara and me skiing for three days next weekend in Breckenridge!

GIORNO 91

Nel periodo buco, sono così contenta di fare FaceTime con la mia sorellina, la mia mami e il mio fratellone! La Franci è nel letto pronta a dormire, poi la mamma è in camera (e mi emoziono quando ci diciamo che abbiamo in mente la stessa cosa da fare insieme quando sarò tornata a casa!), e poi il Teo, che mi aggiorna su tutto quello che gli sta succedendo. 
Un altro aspetto divertente è vedere gli studenti Americani che mi passano di fianco e che mi guardano sorridendo quando mi sentono parlare in una lingua "animata e veloce!"
Sono anche contenta quando Matt, un amico e compagno di classe, si siede vicino a me e, alla fine dell'ora, chiacchieriamo! Grazie grazie grazie!

DAY 91

During the off hour, I am so glad to do FaceTime with my little sister, my mom and my brother! My Franci is in her bed, ready to sleep, then my mom is in her bedroom (and I get excited when we tell each other that we have in mind the same special thing to do together when I'll be back at home!), and then my Teo, he updates on everything is going on. 
A fun aspect of Skyping with my family when I'm at school is to see the American students who walk next to me and look at me with a smile when they hear me speaking in an "animated and fast" language!
I am also happy when Matt, a classmate and friend, sits next to me and, at the end of the hour, we get to talk! Thanks thanks thanks!

GIORNO 57

Oggi a scuola aiutiamo a preparare un'assemblea scolasstica, durante la quale cantiamo l'inno Americano, partecipiamo a giochi e conosciamo i candidati a re e regina dell'homecoming. E' tutto davvero tipico Americano!!
Nel pomeriggio andiamo a Boulder: Gary partecipa ad una lezione di cucina, Ann fa un giro con me e Barbara per la città!

DAY 57

Today at school we help to prepare a school assembly, during which we sing the American hymn, participate in games and meet the homecoming king and queen candidates. It 's all SO American!!
In the afternoon we go to Boulder: Gary takes part in a cooking class, Ann walks with Barbara and me in the city!

In un insospettabile negozio di articoli di cucina c'è una macchina per il Nespresso e prova gratuita: finalmente un vero caffè!
In a cooking shop there's a Nespresso machine and we can try for free: finally a real coffe!
